About the role:
Reporting to Senior Accountant, your duties will include:
- Prepare monthly management reports and annual financial statements, including accruals, prepayments, and provisions.
- Conduct general ledger reconciliations and analyse company expenditures by expense type and department.
- Process bank reconciliations and assist in the preparation of tax returns (e.g., BAS, FBT).
- Review P&L statements, allocate costs, and conduct variance analysis.
- Assist in the annual planning process and preparations for external audits.
- Support front-line business teams with financial inquiries and system support.
- Undertake adhoc tasks/projects as required to support finance operations.
- Seek continuous improvement of financial accounting processes and document changes.
- Comply with organisation's workplace health & safety (WHS) protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- Working towards or newly CPA/CA qualified.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role within a commercial or chartered environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full and unlimited working rights.
