Free-2-Travel Holidays are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant for animmediate start. This position is a full-time ongoing position, working 38 hours per weekbased in Neutral Bay, Sydney NSW.

As a Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial health andcompliance of the organization. This position reports to the Finance Manager and involves ablend of accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance responsibilities.

Salary range: 73,000.00 - 75,000.00 per annum + super 

Task & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and financial statements.
• Proactively completing required month-end procedures including calculations, journal entries, account reconciliations, OneStream data entry and any other requested tasks.
• Produce reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain budget work papers and support the budgeting process.
• Oversee revenue processes and ensure accurate revenue reporting and recognition.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of the financial statements.
• Assist with taxation requirements, namely Goods and Services Tax (GST), and income tax, ensuring compliance and accurate filing.
• Reconcile corporate credit card transactions. Process payments and ensure compliance with internal policies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory law and financial regulations.
• Work with external auditors during audits and provide necessary documentation.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Provide financial analysis and guidance on growth, cost reduction, and revenue enhancement initiatives.
• Manage reconciliations related to the Tramada travel system.
• Validate expenses and ensure accurate reporting of travel-related costs.

Qualification & Experience

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Degree in Accounting, Finance (CPA Qualified preferred)
• Experience: 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to multi-national operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Xero (or similar accounting software), Google apps (Gmail, Google Drive, etc.), and MS Office (particularly Excel).
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within a team
