We are currently seeking a driven Financial Accountant to join our Corporate team based in our stunning Sydney CBD office.
Reporting into the Group Reporting Manager, this role will see you responsible for supporting month end activities and reporting for the Corporate function.
Key aspects of this role will include but not be limited to:
- Accounting and financial reporting: preparing journal entries for month end accounting, balance sheet reconciliations and other monthly financial reports.
- Support half year and year end statutory requirements through providing data and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Preparation of regular financial and management reporting including assisting with commentary and analysis.
- Complete vendor and CAPEX forms as required to ensure costs are accurately recorded and payments can be made timely.
- Ensure effective financial controls and compliance
- Monitor payment status and assist with month end closures within the team
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Verify vendor accounts and coding as required to ensure the expense is accounted for accurately.
- Assisting with external audit requirements
To be considered for this role your skills and attributes should include:
- Minimum 2 to 3 years' experience (Big 4 experience highly desirable)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Working towards or completed CA or CPA qualifications
- Proven attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Advanced MS Excel essential, SAP and TM1 highly desirable.
