This is a fabulous opportunity for a mid-level Financial Accountant to work for this leading equipment service provider in the aviation industry.
The Position
Working from the head office location (Keilor Park) the Financial Accountants’ position will be responsible for recording, summarizing, and reporting transactions resulting from business operations.
The day-to-day duties will consist of
- Updating workflows and procedures to support the achievement of all monthly/year end objectives
- Preparing and analyzing the monthly P&L and balance sheet reports
- General ledger account reconciliations
- Assisting in preparing budgets
- Statutory Tax reporting, (BAS, payroll and FBT) and inventory processing
- Collecting and analyzing data
- Advising on estimates on project funding
- Updating KPI’s
- Preparing actual and forecast cashflow statements
- Co-ordination and preparation of year end accounts, assisting with statutory account activities
- Providing ongoing support for the stakeholders
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/traits:
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, CA or CPA is encouraged but not necessary
- 4-6 years’ experience as a Financial Accountant with commercial and business awareness
- Competent in the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Knowledge of BC-365 and Power Bi, otherwise we are happy to train
- Payroll experience
- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements
- Excellent people and time management skills
