The Position:
General Outline
Reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager, the Financial Accountant is responsible for providing bookkeeping, accounting, payroll duties, and aiding in the preparation of financial reports, tax compliance and other requirements as needed.
It is expected that the Financial Accountant will maintain accurate financial records for all corporate entities and provide information in a timely, complete and accurate manner.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:
• Maintaining multiple balance sheet reconciliations and source documents;
• Review of the portfolio of Corporate entities 'Profit & Loss';
• End-of-month reporting;
• Assisting with Corporate budgeting process;
• Processing of monthly Instalment Activity Statements, Business Activity Statements and Superannuation payments;
• Credit card reconciliations for Corporate accounts;
• Processing internal invoicing and recharges;
• Aiding the Corporate Accounting Manager;
• Maintaining a loan matrix for all inter-entity company loans;
• Other tasks as requested by Management.
Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualifications in finance and/or accounting (desired, not essential).
• CA/CPA qualified (or working towards).
Experience and knowledge:
• Previous experience in a similar role (highly desirable);
• Experience using Xero;

- The ability to work autonomously, under pressure and hit deadlines.

- Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve complex problems
