Financial Accountant

Job Responsibilities:

As a key member of their corporate finance team, you will play a vital role in supporting their various businesses by performing specialised tasks.

In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for:

• Tracking and processing payments to both internal and external stakeholders;


• Conducting reconciliations, including bank account reviews;


• Assisting with the preparation of monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet across our corporate brands;


• Supporting audit workpaper compilation and addressing related queries;


• Reviewing and analysing credit applications;


• Conducting risk reviews to ensure compliance and mitigate potential issues;


• Processing gift card transactions and reconciliations accurately;


• Updating debtor records in internal systems;


• Managing and processing internal transactions efficiently;


• Ensuring compliance with company policies, relevant accounting standards and minimum standards for financial systems and processes; and


• Continuously seeking opportunities to improve efficiencies within finance workflow processes.

Candidate Requirements:

Our client is seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications and attributes:

• Completed undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related field, or currently studying towards one;


• CPA or CA qualification is highly desirable;


• Intermediate-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);


• Strong technical knowledge related to finance and accounting principles;


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop relationships at all levels;


• Proven teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively; and


• High degree of flexibility and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
