Financial Accountant

We are currently seeking a Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team based at our Head Office in Shailer Park.
Reporting to the CFO, this role will include responsibility for producing monthly management results, assisting with budgeting processes, reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, company credit card system management, reporting and recording of these costs. Your ability to develop good working relationships throughout the organisation will assist in promoting and maintaining a positive customer experience with the finance team.
Duties of the role include:
- Monthly Management Results
- Company Credit card system management, processing, and costing
- Monthly GL journals, accruals, and all Balance Sheet reconciliations,
- Monthly Board report
- Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers
- Accounting for leased assets in accordance with AASB16 Leases.
- Assisting with the preparation of group and entity budgets and forecasts
- Preparation and/or assisting with BAS/GST/FBT/Company Tax Compliance including ATO Business portal lodgements.
- Assisting with monthly and annual Payroll Reconciliation processes including PAYGW, Super, Payroll Tax and Workers Compensation
- Daily / weekly / 12 weekly cash flow forecast
- Year end audit processes, including assisting with the preparation of Statutory Financial Statements
- Cross training in payroll processing for leave coverage.
- Other general administration duties
The preferred candidate will have the following attributes:
- CA/CPA qualified or currently completing.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Financial Accounting function
- Ability to work in a team and across all areas of the business.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)
- Always maintain a very high level of attention to detail
- Able to adapt to the challenges and variety of working in a fast-growing organisation.
- Demonstrated planning, organising and prioritisation skills
- Ability to independently resolve problems and promote process improvement
