East 33 Pty Ltd is an expanding vertically integrated Sydney Rock Oyster producer with production facilities in several locations stretching from Camden Haven to Sydney.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Accountant to join our team. The Financial Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our organisation, overseeing the accounting of multiple entities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. This position reports directly to the Financial Controller (FC) and involves managing one direct report.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial reports and analysis.
- Manage end-of-month journals and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigation and resolution of accounting discrepancies, movements, and irregularities.
- Attending to general ledger reconciliations and maintenance of associated workbooks.
- Preparation of monthly management accounts for stakeholder packs.
- Supporting the audit process including preparation of audit workpapers and responding to audit queries.
- Assist in treasury management activities to optimise cash flow and liquidity.
- Provide business partner support to business heads and guide through financial matters when required.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or similar.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft skills incl outlook, excel etc.
- Proficiency MYOB plus preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a willingness to work with others to achieve shared goals.
- Exceptional work ethic and ability to work as part of a team to achieve deadlines.
