Form of workAn opportunity has arisen for a qualified Financial Reporting Accountant to join a widely recognised Victorian brand in Melbourne's CBD.
Whilst the business covers a diverse portfolio of industry engagements, your core focus will be within the Retail operation which has experienced strong, consistent growth throughout the financial year to date.
The Role
As Financial Reporting Accountant you will be reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller, joining the team in a Contract capacity to ease the work load on existing staff members, as well as taking responsibility for some of the advanced duties leading into the end of the financial year.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with month and year-end general ledger reconciliations.
- Daily and monthly bank reconciliations.
- Monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting.
- Any other general accounting and administration tasks as required.
- Assisting with accounts payable/receivable when required.
- Liaise with business stakeholders at all levels as required.
About You
You must be a highly motivated CA/CPA Accounting professional who is available to start immediately – individuals who have to work a notice period will not be considered for this role.
Individuals must be able to work autonomously and be disciplined in meeting important deadlines.
This individual has to demonstrate experience working on financials from a previous commercial firm or Public Practice. You will be extremely adaptable and have capability to work on multiple tasks whilst meeting tight deadlines.
Previous experience working with SAP would be of an advantage but not essential.
