Job Description:
The Financial Accountant (Finance Officer) will undertake various accounting tasks within the Funding and Governance team to support the delivery of operations for nominated debt facilities and a major improvement fund.
Responsibilities:
- Funding and Governance related tasks will include the calculation of monthly interest and minimum repayments, preparation of monthly statements and related accounting journals
- Improvement Fund related tasks will include processing payments and assisting with the preparation of the annual budget; in particular the forecasting of revenue items
- Analysing financial data to report to stakeholders on a regular basis using PowerBI and / or spreadsheets as appropriate
- Accounting qualifications
- Financial Accounting experience
- Experience with compiling journals and accounting statements
- Experience in assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Reporting experience with Power BI
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Government experience an advantage (not essential)
