My client is a global leader in their industry, providing innovative solutions using their cutting-edge manufacturing technologies. They are seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join their small team in Craigieburn and contribute to their mission.
Your new role
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate financial records, analysing data, and providing strategic insights. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, optimise financial processes, and support business decisions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in budget preparation, variance analysis, and long-term financial planning.
- Cost Management: Monitor production costs, analyse cost drivers, and recommend cost-saving measures.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including GST and income tax.
- Month-End Close: Execute month-end procedures, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Financial Systems: Enhance financial systems to streamline reporting processes. Prior experience with SAP is highly regarded.
- Ad Hoc Projects: Contribute to strategic initiatives within the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be degree qualified and CA / CPA qualified. You will have demonstrated prior experience as an Accountant within a manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate skills with internal stakeholders across the Logistics and Supply Chain and Procurement divisions. You will have exceptional communication skills and work effectively with colleagues across departments and external stakeholders.

This is a permanent 0.9 position (4.5 days per week) with the potential for 1.5 days WFH. (equivalent to $100k plus super full time).
