Financial Accountant - Global Fmcg / Retail Brand

Role Overview: Become an integral part of a leading retail corporation as a Financial Accountant. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial accuracy and integrity within our inventory systems and processes, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze and reconcile Moving Average Price (MAP) discrepancies, implementing adjustments as necessary for accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Stores, Warehouse, Accounts Payable, and Buying to investigate and resolve MAP discrepancies promptly.
• Identify and address system issues affecting MAP accuracy, driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimize inventory management processes.
• Execute month-end GL clearing tasks and fulfill Inventory-related Year End requirements with precision and timeliness.
• Facilitate regular meetings with Business Departments to provide updates on inventory financials and address any queries or concerns.

Ideal Candidate:

• CA/CPA qualification preferred
• Proficient in SAP or similar ERP systems
• Experience in Inventory costing methodologies, particularly Moving Average Price.
• Strong background in financial accounting, demonstrating attention to detail and analytical prowess.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and departments.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive training to excel in the role and contribute to the company's success.
