As our Financial Accountant, reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, you will deliver high quality, customer service oriented general accounting services for The Star Entertainment Group ensuring delivery to deadlines and compliance with Group policies.
This is a fantastic opportunity where you will work as part of a team to provide a diverse range of accounting for the group including Treasury, Joint Ventures, Corporate divisions, Fixed Assets and Capital Projects.
A few of your responsibilities:
- Perform financial accounting services including journal processing, month end GL close, balance sheet reconciliations, basic management reporting and tax support.
- Investigate and resolve transactional issues (such as misallocations, late adjustments, inter-company mismatches), escalating when required
- Meet end of month deadlines for key deliverables including fixed asset movement reporting, Capital in progress (CIP) and fixed asset balance sheet reconciliations and right of use asset accounting.
- Fixed Asset Register maintenance and reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Investigation and resolution of internal accounting process or control issues
What we are looking for:
- CA/CPA qualification or another relevant post graduate qualification, or studying towards.
- At least 3 years’ experience in an accounting role
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and reporting standards.
- Proficient digital literacy (Oracle, TM1, Excel)
- Advanced time management and prioritisation skills
