Located South of the River close to Welshpool, our well known client requires a temporary Financial Accountant in to start ASAP until at least the end of June 2024, and potentially beyond.
Your new role
This temporary Financial Accountant position specifically requires someone with very strong knowledge and experience in Grants AASB 15 / AASB 1058 and Leases AASB 16.
Our client must see relevant demonstrated experience of that in your resume and application.
Additional tasks will include;- Ensure co-ordination of all end of month and end of year routines.
- Be responsible for all balance sheet account reconciliation and suspense account reconciliation.
- Daily cash flow management
- Manage the responsibilities associated with AP/AR staff, to ensure invoices and journals are authorised in a timely fashion.
- Prepare/complete all relevant Grant Acquittal Financial Statements and lodgement of the same to the appropriate funding body.
- Preparation of monthly report and annual financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience and very strong knowledge in Grants AASB 15 / AASB 1058 and Leases AASB 16.
- CA/CPA or equivalent full accounting qualification.
- Available to commence this assignment within the next 1-2 weeks.
- Full commitment to the temporary assignment.
- High attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work to strict deadlines.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and be highly systems literate.
