Your new role:
Your role is primarily ensuring the high quality and accuracy of financial accounting transactions in our Finance Department, maintaining the compliance with Hanwha Defense Australia’s policies & procedures, Accounting Standards, and relevant legislative policies. You will also support the Finance team in meeting monthly and annually financial closure deadlines.
Your duties and responsibilities are wide ranging and may include, but are not limited to:
- Invoice Management
- Generate the AP and OP Aging report on a weekly basis and assist with audits
- Prepare weekly AP List
- Prepare Cash Flow Forecast
- Monitor Purchase Request and Purchase Order for all business activities.
- Manage Enterprise Resource System and other operation software (SAP B1, SAP, Concur and WMS)
- Monitor all transactions in each module in SAP System for Cost Closing and Project Cost
- Month-end & year-end Closing – FI and CO Module, Closing Manufacturing Cost in SAP System
- Developing and Improving Business Processes in Product Cost
About you
As an ideal candidate you will have:
- Related work experience within Accounting/Audit/Project Costing
- Tertiary qualified in Accounting/Finance
- CPA, CA, CIMA qualification or studying toward a professional accounting certification will be highly regarded
- Experience in a Global corporation (would be an advantage but not essential)
- Experience in managing company’s tax affairs (would be an advantage but not essential)
Your Skills and Key Attributes will include:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confident dealing with senior stakeholders
- Ability to solve complex financial and accounting issues.
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent computer skills, which include high level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel – Advanced MS Excel [Pivot Tables, Lookups, Macros, etc.].
- Excellent Time management
- Positive and Proactive approach
- Analytical approach
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- CA, CPA, or CIMA qualification (or be studying towards)
Eligibility
- To be successful in this role, you will be required to undertake a national police check and eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security clearance (must be Australian Citizen). Eligibility criteria can be found at http://www.defence.gov.au/agsva
