The Role
Reporting into the Financial Controller you will play a key role to help drive and deliver the finance function. This great opportunity will allow you to grow and develop and assist in delivering financial accounting activities for the whole business.
This includes participating in the month end close and general ledger reconciliation processes and financial reporting. In addition to this, you will assist in:
• Foreign exchange hedging and forecasting
• IFRS16 entries and reconciliation
• Involvement in complex balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring tax compliance and reporting, including BAS, FBT and assist external auditors and other advisers
• Providing analysis and commentary to the financial reports
• Driving efficiency improvements in line with best practices and group practices
• Assist in developing junior member of the team
• Point of liaison for store Managers on finance queries
About You

In order to be successful in this role, the skills and experienced required are:
• CA, CPA or equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role in a large complex organisation
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills
• Self-motivated and proactive
• Strong analytical skills and critical thinking
• Passion for continuous improvement
• Excellent people and communication skills
• Experience in a multi-site network business preferred
• Experience in month end close activities at a large business
• Track record of meeting stringent reporting deadlines
• Ability to multi task and strong time management skills
• Positive attitude to work
