We are growing our National Accounting and Finance Team and have created an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join our Brisbane Head Office based at our flagship Transport and Warehouse facility located in Carole Park. Supporting the CFO and driving our analytical and data reporting teams, the role has been created to allow the right candidate an opportunity to make a personal impact. Duties
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Bank Reconciliations
- General Ledger Reconciliations
- Asset Register Maintenance
- Monthly Management Reports - Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet
- Monthly and ad-hoc analytical reports - Customer and Operational
- Project lead for Data Analysis projects - ongoing
- Database Management
- Manage Accounts staff team
- Preparation BAS statements
- FBT Schedule and Return
- Assist in the preparation of Budgets
- To assist and support CFO and other Accounts staff as needed
About you
The successful applicant will possess:
- Degree in Accounting/Commerce. Undertaking or planning to complete CPA or CA.
- 2-4 years work experience in a similar position
- Advanced Excel skills
- Intermediate to advanced Power BI skills
- Intermediate to advanced SQL skills – minimum ability to create a view
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to prioritize work to meet scheduled deadlines while handling multiple tasks
- Must have excellent accounting skills, strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to function as a team player.
