The Role & The Team
As a Financial Accounting Senior Specialist, you will be responsible for the ongoing management of all aspects of Financial Accounting, including transactions, reconciliations, and reporting; to manage year end processes including delivery of financial statements and coordination of external audit requirements; and to provide advice to the business in relation to statutory and regulatory accounting requirements.
You will build and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within a collaborative and inclusive team. You will lead and inspire Financial Accounting staff to deliver on functional and organisational objectives while providing ongoing professional advice, guidance and support, fostering a Centre of Excellence mindset.

The Person
The successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance or related discipline with sound knowledge and practical application of accounting standards and finance management practices and statutory reporting
- Demonstrated experience in the business and financial operations of a large commercial organisation or accounting firm, with exposure to accounting issues
- Demonstrated experience in leadership, including strong influencing, stakeholder management and communications skills
- Demonstrated experience in Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Membership of a professional accounting body in Australia (CPA Australia, CA ANZ) (Desirable)
- Capability and motivation to embrace technology and new ways of working
