Job Description:
KAS Australia is seeking an experienced Financial Administrator to join our team in Sydney. This Financial Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation and review of the company's financial statements and related reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all accounting tasks.
- Manage the general ledger and ensure all accounts are reconciled and up-to-date.
- BAS Preparation and Lodgement - Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) on a monthly or quarterly basis, as required by the ATO.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the senior management team.
- Coordinate and manage reports both internal and external, ensuring compliance with requirements. That would include end of year stocktake.
- Reconciliation- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable, as well as assist with payroll administration.
- Continuously improve accounting processes and systems to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Cash Management - Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions.
- Financial Reporting - Generate financial reports for review by management. This can include income statements, balance sheets, or cash flow statements.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance would be beneficial.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in accounting
- CPA or CA certification preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient skills with online accounting software XERO
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards.
