Financial Analyst to join a collaborative team where your growth and development will be supported. The
Financial Analyst will be an integral part of the Controllership Finance team and is responsible for overseeing the business’ month close process. The successful candidate will need to understand the linkages between key performance indicators and business results, while translating these movements into meaningful analysis. The work feeds into and generates a number of different internal and external reporting submissions, as well as providing the Asia Pacific region with a snapshot of local business results.
- Review monthly results under USGAAP basis to provide variance analysis and financial control of the General Ledger
- Prepare Quarterly Board Reports under IFRS (Australian Accounting Standards)
- Manage the chart of accounts and responsibility centre structure
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Provide accounting support on projects related to key business and financial initiatives
- Provide financial expertise to internal business partners on US GAAP and Internal Policies
- Work closely with shared service centres
Minimum Qualifications- Strong financial, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be flexible, proactive and able to work autonomously and provide accurate updates to management as needed
- Experience working in a highly matrixed organization, including ability to influence others
- Good understanding of USGAAP and Australian accounting standards are essential
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree required in accounting, finance or related discipline, CPA/CA a plus
Preferred Qualifications- Interest in Environment Social Governance (ESG) reporting
- Oracle accounting software/Essbase knowledge
- Basic understanding of and experience with coding languages and automation tools such as SQL, Python, VBA, Power Query, Tableau
- Experience in regulatory reporting e.g. ABS, APRA, RBA
- Financial services industry experience
