About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a skilled Financial Analyst to join the Santos team. Based at our Global Headquarters in Adelaide, this position reports to the Team Leader - Cash and Accounts Receivable and will be responsible for delivering quality and efficient transactional accounting and reporting services to key stakeholders of Santos, including the Asset Decision Support Teams, Functional Support, Group Finance, Group Taxation, Treasury, Production Allocation & Commercial. This role is part of a centralised Financial Services team that provides Revenue & Cash Management accounting services to all finance operations across Santos.
Key accountabilities include:
- Demonstrate a change and performance mindset and participate to achieve desired cultural outcomes.
- Contribute to delivering on cost reduction efficiencies and value creation strategies as directed.
- Effective and timely collaboration with internal and external stakeholders as required.
On behalf of our key stakeholders this role will be accountable for:
- Preparation of monthly Group Cash Reconciliation
- Provision of back-office support to Treasury function
- Preparation and lodgement of weekly excise returns via the ATO Portal
- Inputting non-operated Joint Venture accounting and reconciling results
- Efficient generation and input of Sales Invoices.
- Data entry of hydrocarbon sales and purchases
- Preparation and posting of actual and accrual journals.
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Prepare audit data as required.
- Participate in process improvement projects across Finance
- Additional activities as required by the Team Leader
About You
Holding a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or an equivalent field, as well as ICAANZ or CPA Certification, the ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of SAP Finance system, along with strong problem solving and analytical skills and demonstrated skills at an advanced level with Microsoft Excel. In addition, you will also be skilled in building and managing internal relationships as well as collaborating with others to meet common goals and objectives. Excellent communication skills are a must, along with the ability to work cross functionally and manage different stakeholder needs.
