Job Title: Financial Analyst Location: Sydney, NSW Salary: $120,000 - $160,000 + super (depending on experience) Position Overview: We are seeking a Financial Analyst to support our clients FMCG operations by providing strategic financial analysis and insights to drive business performance. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in analysing financial data, identifying trends, and developing actionable recommendations to support decision-making and achieve business objectives. Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth financial analysis of sales, pricing, and profitability to identify opportunities for revenue growth and margin improvement. Analyse market trends, consumer behaviour, and competitive landscape to inform pricing strategies and product development initiatives. Develop and maintain financial models to forecast sales volumes, revenue projections, and product demand across different markets and product categories. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse promotional campaigns, trade spend effectiveness, and ROI on marketing initiatives. Evaluate product performance and inventory management strategies to optimise working capital and minimize stock-outs. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review, highlighting key performance metrics, variance analysis, and actionable insights. Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing accurate and timely financial data, forecasts, and analysis. Assist in ad hoc financial analysis, business case development, and decision support for strategic initiatives and investment opportunities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CA or CPA preferred. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the FMCG industry. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively. Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting techniques. Knowledge of FMCG sales analytics, trade spend management, and retail pricing dynamics. Advanced proficiency in ERP’s, BI tools & Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
