Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager this role is responsible for providing high quality, accurate and timely financial accounting support to ensure compliance, enhance decision making and achieve business goals. A key focus of this role will be to apply a challenging mindset with a view to improve and enhance processes and controls.
Responsibilities include:
- Preparation of the daily/weekly/monthly reporting for various business units for corporate cost centres
- Preparation of the weekly/monthly and quarterly journal entries to ensure accuracy and completeness of the P&L and Balance Sheet
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in line with monthly timetables and ensuring all review matters are addressed on a timely basis
- Preparation of weekly financial results to ensure accurate accounting and cost centre allocations
- Producing regular, accurate and timely financial reporting for Finance Business Partner on performance to budget
- Ensure that the accounting for interests in JV’s, Associates and minor entities is in accordance with accounting policies
- BPCS/TM1 systems maintenance including GL master data management, period and year end close
- Support the preparation of the SG&A budget (and forecast) in accordance with the budget timetable
- Support the treasury function with banking, payments and external facility reporting requirements
We’re interested in people who can bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance / Accounting
- CPA/ CA (or studying towards) desirable but not mandatory
- TM1 – Financial reporting
- BPCS – Accounting ERP
- Ability to analyses data and information and translate it into business insights
- Understanding of stakeholder engagement
- Ability to be able to frame a problem and influence an outcome
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel
