We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller that will be based on site and take ownership of the financials for the hotel. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced Financial Controller, that has initiative, isn’t afraid of a new challenge with a bubbly, super friendly personality – it is the hotel industry after all!
You will also be working as part of a broader finance team, alongside other Financial Controllers for our other properties and working closely with our CFO as well as the General Manager.
A little more about the role:
As part of the leadership team, you will be working with other managers to ensure that the Hotel continues to be extremely successful through maximum efficiency and profitability.
The successful applicant must have a proven track record of experience in a Financial Controller position gained from working within a hospitality environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Partnering with the General Manager and hotel management team to support and influence informed decision making
- Monitoring all financial systems for the hotels
- Budgeting, Forecasting and Analysis
- Ensure high standards of financial control are maintained for the hotels.
- Develops means to improve profit, including estimating cost and benefit, exploring new business opportunities, etc.
- Report and analyse profit and performance
- Producing month-end reports and analysis and ensuring all reporting requirements as required are met
- Monitoring the payroll budget
- Ensuring hotel standards and procedures are adhered to.
- Continually reviewing processes to ensure best practice is achieved across the hotel
