Veritas Recruitment has been engaged to work exclusively with this Australian-owned and operated FMCG organisation. With a turnover inexcess of $200million, they are currently on an upward trajectory, driven by a recent acquisition.
Based on this, they are now seeking a high performing and driven experienced Financial Controller to work within their Australian head office. Reporting to the CFO, the role will be responsible for the provision of all financials in an accurate and timely basis.
More specifically, the role will entail:
- Preparation of all month end and year end financials
- Monthly analysis of business results to budget variances
- Co-ordinate internal and external audit activities
- Calculation and posting of accruals, prepayments and other general journals.
- Oversee bank reconciliation, cash reporting – multiple currencies.
- Fixed assets
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Statutory Accounting
- Monthly income tax and tax effect accounting entries
- Overseeing a team of 2 direct staff and up to 6 indirect transactional staff.

- You will be either CA/CPA qualified
- Previous experience working in a fast paced large organisation
- Strong statutory accounting experience
- A passionate and inspirational hands on leader, ideally leading transactional staff
- Excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a high performer
