The organisation is coming into a period of growth and is seeking an experienced and professional leader to establish and guide the financial department through this organisational change and beyond. This role sees the opportunity to work with the export of products throughout markets across the globe, as well as within Australia. You will manage multiple functions across people, financial reporting, compliance, and development, in this hands-on role.
The client itself is a long-standing Australian-owned Agriculture services business, with a focus on quality, innovation, and production. With a small-scale finance team, you will enjoy leading a tight-knit office that will support your strategies to achieve efficient management of all financials.
Reporting to the General Manager, your duties will include:
Expertly managing cash flow across the business, including international currencies;
Managing export functions including trade finance, negotiating terms and overseeing large stock purchases;
Development of forecasts and budgets across cash flow, inventory and projects;
Ensuring compliance across the business and ensuring Australian and international aspects are observed;
Working with external auditors;
Producing and presenting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to an Australian head office;
Collaborating with a supportive accounting team to oversee BAS, taxation and auditing matters;
Facilitating and embodying change processes to lead the finance team through growth; and
Assisting the GM with the optimization of all business opportunities pertaining to finance.
It is essential you are a hands-on leader. You will be prepared to get involved and get to know the company and team. It is essential that you bring energy to your approach whilst acting as a diplomatic and success-driven leader. The successful candidate will ideally have a working knowledge of international currencies and be invested in becoming fluent in international trade and finance.
