Reporting directly to the Chief Finance and Operations Officer, the Financial Controller will play a crucial role in assisting to define the financial strategy, ensuring stability, and driving the organization's growth. Your expertise in technical financial accounting, management accounting, governance, and process improvement will be vital in advancing the organization.
Key Tasks
- Oversee all accounting functions including monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders within required timeframes.
- Prepare and oversee the annual group budgets and forecasts
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and statutory requirements, overseeing the preparation of financial statements and disclosures.
- Manage internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
- Manage and coordinate external/Internal audits, liaising with auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary.
- Facilitate strategic decision-making by providing evidence-based evaluations, including financial modelling, analysis, and key performance metrics.
- Treasury management including management of debt facilities, tight cashflow management and projections and Covenant obligations
- Develop and implement systems and processes that ensure smooth financial integration across all business units, with a focus on maintaining robust control systems and ensuring systems and processes are scalable and support growth aspirations and strategic plans.
- Monitor key financial metrics, trends, and variances, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for optimisation.
- Partner with various business units, to support collaborative department relationships
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- CA qualified
- Highly technical and analytical
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller position, with a focus on financial management, reporting, and analysis
- Financial services experience will be highly valued[MF2]
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance standards
- Proficiency in financial modelling, valuations, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organisation
