Role Overview:
This is a 2 month fixed term role with the potential to extend
We are looking for a Financial Controller / Consultant to work with a small team preparing the business for its upcoming annual external audit in particular in relation to technical accounting standards along with conducting a review of our finance systems and processes including month end reporting processes.
You will play a pivotal role in making recommendations and implementing improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our finance operations and internal controls.
In this role, you will assess our current budgeting and forecasting model.
This would suit those that have a CA qualification, as well as experience gained in consultancy and Industry
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate annual external audit and take ownership of all technical accounting matters
- Conduct a thorough review of our finance function, including internal processes, systems, and controls. Perform an internal audit review to evaluate our compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and best practices.
- Work with CFOO to enhance Board Reporting
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of our budgeting and forecasting mode
- Ensure aligned with organisational goals and objectives
- Make recommendations for enhancements including consistency across verticals and adaption to be an interactive rolling model.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans for senior management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement recommended changes and improvements.
- Provide training and support to finance staff to ensure effective implementation of new processes and procedures.
- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is required.
- Demonstrated experience working in a consultancy or advisory role, preferably within the finance sector
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and skills
- Strong knowledge and experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting and audit.
- Proven track record of successfully leading finance transformation projects and implementing process improvements.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, Microsoft Excel, google sheets and other relevant software tools.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information and valuations in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
