The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team of this dynamic mid-cap Australian company. You will be a direct report to the CFO, and you will work with a collegiate team of peers and lead the finance function. The CFO will rely on you for key financial and commercial support for a broad range of matters. You will be given a lot of autonomy and responsibility with a clear mandate to exercise your initiative and drive innovation within the finance function. In this key leadership role you will have a broad range of responsibilities including:
- Engaging with business unit executives across the Group to provide robust and timely commercial support.
- Providing support and guidance to the CFO on all technical accounting matters and the associated implications for the company;
- Manage of team of eighteen with four direct reports
- Focus on process improvement and simplification matters
- Accurate and timely preparation of the annual and half-year reporting process;
- Responsible for the delivery of the Group month-end process;
- Detailed review and analysis of all treasury and debt matters;
- Drafting Board papers;
- Overseeing all regulatory reporting requirements;
- Manage and improve the ERP system from a finance perspective;
- Management of external auditors and tax advisers;
This pivotal role will suit an experienced CA/CPA qualified leader with strong technical foundations who is able to engage stakeholders at all levels. You will have demonstrated commercial acumen and thrive in a growing and capital intensive business model that has scale in revenue and operational footprint. You will have a track record in an ASX listed/Multinational company environment with a focus on building and leading successful teams and delivering results on time and accurately.
