Your new company 

Our client is a large-scale not-for-profit organisation supporting Australian people through all of life's challenges. They are looking to appoint a Financial Controller due to recent changes within the business and are looking for an experienced individual that shares their values and commitment to the community. 

Your new role 

You will be interviewed for the role of Financial Controller. Within this role your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Ensure financial operations — including systems, processes, and procedure, operate effectively and efficiently and deliver quality services
• Manage and deliver cash flow, taxation, funding, and systems
• Deliver key financial reporting and analysis with high integrity, transparency, accuracy, and timelines
• Effective management of finance team 
• Facilitate and manage the monthly financial reporting (through to drafting reports for Board, Board committees and management). Reports including profit and loss, summary result by business unit, balance sheet, cash flow and cash flow forecasts, debtor management, capital adequacy and financial risk analysis
• To provide advice, analysis, input and recommendations on accounting policy and procedures across the business
• Continually improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial systems, including internal controls and fraud prevention
• Ensure the integrity of the management and statutory financial reporting process through regular reconciliation of all relevant accounts
• Provide clear direction and management of external audit 
• Contribute to the annual budget planning process
• Ensure all relevant statutory requirements are met including relevant ASIC, ACNC legislation, tax compliance (GST, FBT), accounting standards

What you'll need to succeed 

You will be an experienced Financial Controller with experience in complex organisational structures and companies with turnover above $100mil. You will be a confident business partner with excellent communication skills. Closely aligned values to the organisation are highly important to the success of this role.
