As a leading supplier for all things cut from steel, Quickcut | Stockline is looking for a driven, enthusiastic and committed individual to manage our Finance Team who is excited by the prospect of directing, controlling and administering all the financial and accounting operations of the business and to assist in leading our team forward in our journey to reach our growth goals.
About You:
- You’ll be an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller who is dedicated to driving exceptional results and delivering tangible outcomes in a manufacturing environment.
- 5+ years experience as in managing finance with a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA highly preferred, along with a solid grasp of financial modeling, cost accounting, strategic capability and excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
- You bring a high level of energy to the team and are hungry to implement strategies that exceed expectations to achieve optimal results for the collective benefit of the whole team.
- You are driven to perform at the highest level and demonstrate innate leadership qualities, consistently taking ownership of results and making sound decisions.
- You will demonstrate strong “hands on” leadership and management skills, have excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills, good organisational skills and be professional and proactive
- You’re passionate about what you do, particularly when it contributes to making a meaningful impact.
- You have demonstrated experience, competence and skills overall finance functions of a manufacturing organisation including management reporting, cashflow, cost control and budgeting.
- You have excellent written, verbal communication and time management skills.
- You are a natural leader, commercial, with strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business strategies.
About the Role:
As the Financial Controller, you manage the key responsibilities of the Finance Team together with assisting in the financial forecasting and analytical capabilities of the business. You lead the execution of strong and accurate financial processes to support the company's growth. You will be responsible for:
- Hands-on management of day-to-day financial and accounting activities, including month end processes, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and procurement
- Preparation of monthly and annual management and financial reports, including analysis, insight, and commentary for the board
- Work closely with external accountant to ensure tax and other compliance obligations are met (GST, FBT & Payroll Tax)
- Manage budget, rolling reforecasts, and regular cash flow forecasting to ensure adequate cash flow.
- Developing standard costing for job cost analysis and closely manage inventory holdings.
- Assist with multi-currency strategies for offshore purchases.
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accounting standards and adherence to internal control and company’s policies
- Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures to ensure continuous improvement across the finance function
