Financial Controller

Mini Masterminds is a privately owned and family run Child Care group whose aim is to provide early childhood care and education in a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment.

Mini Masterminds is seeking an experienced hands-on Financial Controller to lead a high performing finance team.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and support a team of 4 highly motivated accounts officers and accountants
2. Prepare timely and accurate financial statements, budgets, forecasts and ad hoc reports
3. Analyse financial data to identify trends, opportunities and challenges
4. Manage cash flow to ensure timely payment of invoices and collection of outstanding debts
5. Provide regular and timely reporting on financial performance to stakeholders
6. Providing financial leadership across the business
7. Oversee and assist with Accounts payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll functions

Requirements:

1. At least 5 years' local experience as a Financial Controller or finance manager
2. Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, laws, regulations, as well as experience in budgeting & forecasting
4. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately
5. Effective communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders as well as external parties such as auditors and regulators.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
7. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail
8. Ability and willingness to be hands on as required
9. Experience within the Child Care industry would be preferred
