Vestas Wind are looking for an enthusiastic Financial Controller with CA or CPA qualification to join our Finance team in Melbourne.
This role will specifically manage the financial control and business partnering related to our Service Operations division for Australia and New Zealand.
Our Financial Services team are a collaborative and welcoming group who will quickly embrace you into the team.
The daily tasks involved in this position are broad and captivating for the fiscally minded, some very important tasks are month end close, analysing and delivering performance results, budget and forecast processes and financial & commercial business partnering.
As the successful candidate you will have a strong grasp on financial processes and tools along with the ability of being a skilled communicator liaising with our Service Director and service team, along with our shared services team based in Manilla.
Additionally your past experience working within the energy, industrial or construction industries will be of great advantage.
Relationship building will be a very important part of this role is to be a value add business partner to various business leaders. This can include Regional Service Managers and their teams across Australia and New Zealand.
Ideally you will have an assertive personality with an ease to deliver messages in a clear and concise manner.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of Monthly Financial Results
- Commentary on monthly Results, including analysis compared to budget/forecast
- Perform (with input from business stakeholders) the Service business budget and rolling forecasts
- Business Partner providing commercial and financial/analytical support and input to the Service Business including the Service Director and Regional Service Managers
- Member of extended Service Leadership team
- Ensure revenue recognition applied in accordance with Vestas accounting policy
- Analysis of Service costs and costs to complete
- Review of Service contract renewal and new order pricing
- Review data integrity in SAP and proactively work the Service department to ensure that data integrity is maintained
- Provide commercial input, analysis, support to Service team
- Governance and controls - Completion monthly Control checklists including supporting documentation
- Engage with other service controllers in Asia Pacific region to facilitate ongoing system and reporting development
- Implement process improvements developed locally, regionally, globally.
- Interaction with the Vestas Finance Shared Service Centre
- Interaction with members of the Asia Pacific Finance team
- Liaison with external auditors
- Ad hoc projects and tasks, as required
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- CA/CPA qualified
- Minimum 8 years finance experience

- Hands on role and need for attention to detail
- Collaboration both cross functional and within the Finance Team
- Good stakeholder Management skills
- Experience using SAP
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft office, with strong excel skills
- Experience working in a service or project related business an advantage
