About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Financial Counsellor! Our Financial Counsellors provide financial counselling to clients and conduct thorough assessment processes that ensures that clients receive a prompt and efficient service.

Responsibilities include

  • Provide holistic financial counselling to people in financial difficulty or crisis
  • Conduct group community education (financial literacy/capability) sessions where appropriate and in consultation with the Moneycare Manager
  • Operate the local Moneycare practise with autonomy within TSA and Moneycare policy and procedure, managing own scheduling, case load and reporting of statistical data

This is a Max-Term (June 2025), Part-Time (22.8 hours per week) position, based in Werribee, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 5 Award.

What you will have

  • Diploma of Community Services - Financial Counselling and have a minimum of 2 years experience in financial counselling
  • Member of the Financial & Consumer Rights Council (FCRC)
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a counselling framework (highly regarded)
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and information pertaining to financial issues or any other paralegal experience
  • Valid Employee Working with Children's Check
