Centacare are currently seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Financial Counsellors to join our Exmouth based team. Those with an interest, but not qualification or experience, are also encouraged to apply.
About the Role
Financial Counsellors help people experiencing financial difficulty. They can provide information, support and advocacy at no cost, for anyone in hardship.
This position is part time, working 23.5 hours per week, from our Exmouth office. The final roster will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Please note that no relocation support or accommodation is provided with this position.
Qualifications and Accreditations
- Diploma of Financial Counselling (or equivalent)
or
- A willingness to undertake on the job training to achieve this qualification.
- A national police check (or willingness to obtain), conducive to working with vulnerable people.
- A WA Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
Experience / Skill
- Previous experience working in a financial environment is required.
- Previous experience working in a customer service environment would be well regarded.
- Strong experience with the completion of documentation and reports.
- A high level of IT skill.
Remuneration
A remuneration package based on the SCHCADS Award 2010 plus superannuation and salary sacrifice option will be provided based on skills and experience, including 5 weeks of annual leave.
- Level 4 up to $41.52 per hour for a trainee Financial Counsellor
- Level 5 up to $47.50 per hour for a qualified Financial Counsellor
