Job Role: Financial Planner
This is a fun role as you are just required to do what you enjoy – advise clients.
Setch Group, an established financial planning practice, is seeking an experienced strategic orientated financial adviser who not only enjoys speaking to clients but is highly technically knowledgeable.
With a friendly client facing disposition, you will not generally have to write your own Statement of Advices or perform your own financial projections. Rather your orientation will be to formulate quality advice strategies that are in the client’s best interest. You must have experience working with paraplanning and assurance reviewing comprehensive Statements of Advice.
You will not be required to undertake superannuation investment/portfolio reviews as these are performed in-house by an Investment Committee.
So what attributes will you have?
- Sophisticated client focused communication skills;
- Extensive technical knowledge of financial planning strategies (with proven track record);
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce results; and
- Team orientated – politics and agenda not tolerated.
The role will involve spending time with clients undertaking fact finds and risk profiles, and file noting your conversations, then preparing SOA request forms.
University qualified (in a related degree), you must be able to provide references from previous employers and example of compliance passed files to satisfy ASIC requirements. You will currently be on the FAR.
You can be located anywhere throughout Australia, however Setch Group’s Head Office is located in Sydney.
You can choose to work from home although you will need to be prepared to have flexibility depending on the needs of the practice.
