Your New Role
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced FinOps Cost Modeller to provide advice on financial sustainability. Responsibilities include analysing cloud cost data, performing detailed cost modelling, collaborating with teams, and engaging with procurement to optimise cloud utilisation.
Specifically, as aFinOps Cost Modeller, you will:
- Analyse current cloud cost data to identify spending trends and key cost drivers.
- Perform detailed cost modelling for budget predictions and decision-making related to cloud service expenditures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review financial analyses and assist in preparing cloud cost management documentation.
- Engage proactively with procurement teams and service providers to refine pricing models and enhance cloud financial operations.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- 3-5 years of demonstrated experience in cost or financial modelling, ideally within major ICT or asset projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and a strong understanding of cloud financial operations, including consumption-based billing and cost allocation.
- Commercial acumen with skills in investment support, scenario planning, and issue resolution.
- Exceptional communication skills to influence stakeholders and manage complex relationships.
