Harness Energy is seeking a career-focused First Nations candidate to undertake either a Mech Fitting or Electrical Instrumentation Apprenticeship

Our client has been providing maintenance support services to clients across the Australian energy sector for more than 25 years, ensuring client facilities run reliably.
With a consistent amount of work and growth within the resources sector, our client is seeking ambitious individuals who are keen to undertake an Apprenticeship in either Mechanical Fitting or Electrical + Instrumentation with their organisation in the Western Downs Region, QLD. The opportunity will provide a unique platform for the successful candidates to acquire a broad range of essential skills for career success; that will ultimately help kickstart their careers and serve them for life! Your workday will see you working remotely while staying in a camp and will be done while working a roster of 2 weeks on 2 weeks off. About you:

• Ability to attend and participate in pre-start meetings and toolbox meetings
• Ability to commit to an apprenticeship up to 5 Years
• Safety Conscious & Enjoy Technical Work
• Ability to work autonomously and within a team
• Ability to communicate with management and seek clarification and/or direction

Applicants are required to meet the following selection criteria to be considered:

• Point of hire is ROMA, QLD
• Must identify as a First Nations Candidate
• Must not have already attained a Certificate III in Mech Fitting or Electrical + Instrumentation
• Must be able to work a roster of 2 weeks on 2 weeks off, 11 hour days
• Ability to undergo a pre-employment medical including drug & alcohol screening
