Due to heightened demand, our client is seeking a permanent full-time Fleet Controller for our WA depot. Reporting directly to the WA State Manager, you will oversee and optimise the operations of our vehicle fleet in WA.
Your duties and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure road worthiness of trucks and trailers and manage vehicle repairs.
- Maintain fleet compliance with state and national legislation.
- Monitor fuel consumption and implement fuel-saving measures.
- Track fleet activities, manage driver folders, and conduct audits.
- Assist in driver recruitment and enforce safe driving policies.
- Manage incident reports, Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) hazards, and conduct prestart meetings.
- Supervise loading/unloading operations and coordinate freight movements.
- Facilitate approval process for oversized and over-dimensional freight permits; handle general administrative duties.
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following experience:
- Minimum 2 years in a similar position
- Current and valid Australian Heavy Vehicle Driver’s and Forklift Licences
- Excellent knowledge of OH&S best practices, NHVAS, Load Restraint, and regulations
- Proficient in MS Office and web-based applications
- Strong communication skills for effective stakeholder management
