SalaryThis is a rare opportunity for an experienced Flow Controller / Automation Technician to join a dynamic and progressive business that has a strong reputation in the market for quality and innovation. This will be varied role based in Melbourne's western suburbs.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and release customer orders to PFL lanes and manual outfeeds
- Assignment of doors and loading docks for outbound shipments
- Liase with maintenance team to ensure PM tasks do not impact on customer service
- Identify automation system equipment issues and liaise with maintenance to rectify
- Identify and resolve SAP related issues, liaising with local and remote technical resources
- Balance and smooth inbound and outbound load for automation and loading docks
- Monitor the automation reject stations and co-ordinate the recification and non-compliant pallets
- Investigate line stoppages and rectify where minor intervention is required e.g. pallet dag triggering sensor or coordinate with residential maintenance team to fix other issues on the automation
- Must have at least 5 years' experience as a Flow Controller or Automation Technician
- Experience in resolving SAP issues
- Experience working within an automated warehouse environment is desirable
- Background in FMCG, Manufacturing or Logistics/Supply Chain operations
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- A positive and proactive approach to problem solving
- Proven ability to show initiative and follow through on areas of responsibility
