We are seeking an experienced FMCG Finished Goods Production Supervisor ready to take the next step in their career and join our primary processing site and head office in Greenacre.
In this role you will be responsible for supervising and overseeing our packing area, ensuring the highest levels of efficiency and excellence through processes while being the critical link between our production and warehousing team. You will play a crucial role in driving the team forward, actively contributing to the growth strategy, helping achieve new milestones, and propelling the organisation to new heights.
The Role
Reporting to the Factory Manager, your responsibilities will include;
Effectively manage a team of between 50 - 60 team members using coaching, developing, delegation and recognition to ensure they have the capability to meet performance goals.
- Provide critical communication and planning between the production end and warehousing team
- Supervise and monitor operational areas performance levels, ensuring they are meeting Food Safety and Product Quality KPI’s.
- Implement and monitor strategies to reduce staff turnover and ensure labour cost base is productive, efficient, and cost competitive.
- Driving a safety-first culture and ensuring all factory operations are conducted to the highest degree of safety, security and general housekeeping
- Ensure regular preventative maintenance is carried out in conjunction with production needs
- Manage production output and stock management
- Improve engagement and culture through leadership, training and being a good mentor for the production team
- Your Background
In order to be successful in this role you will have;
- Solid background and experience in a manufacturing / packing environment with a heavy emphasis on warehousing and logistics
- Experience with leading and engaging a large team, with the capabilities to create a collaborative and positive working environment with a focus on food processing and packing
- Ability to coach and develop others, monitor and measure performance and provide direct feedback.
- Passionate about driving continuous improvement initiatives through implementing strategies
- Ability to analyse data, understanding production and team performance to improve efficiencies, such as meat dollar per kilogram targets.
- Excellent communication with the ability to communicate cross functionally to build strong and effective relationships and influence key stakeholders.
- Strong analytical capability with the ability to solve problems.
