Rydges Resort Hunter Valley is currently seeking a hands-on Bar Supervisor with a “go get them attitude” and is a ‘guru’ in customer service! We are looking for someone with a big personality that can have fun with, and entertain our guests. You will ideally also have a passion for hotels and hospitality and be hungry for experience that will further your career within the company.
About the role
Reporting to the Venue Manager this is a full-time role for an industry professional seeking their next challenge and career progression within a high paced hotel environment.
Supporting the outlet managers you will be responsible for the supervision & delivery of all aspects of the day-to-day operation of our Lovedale Bar + Grill Operation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure efficient, friendly and professional service is provided for all guests & locals
- Liaise with team to ensure venue standards are upheld
- Ensure all mise-en-place is completed prior to opening
- Staff skill testing, training and development to maintain a constant focus on providing an excellent guest experience.
- Coordination of cleaning and maintenance of outlets, work areas, tableware, and utensils and other materials and equipment
- Supporting, managing and motivating our operations team to always perform beyond client expectations.
- Ensure revenue for the shift is accounted for with cash/charge summary being completed to balance daily activities.
- In depth cocktail knowledge
- Previous leadership or supervisorial experience within a fine dining or premium service offering venue
- Onboarding new colleagues
- Have a full knowledge of, and practice all of the established hotel occupational health and safety guidelines (WH&S)
- Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment in conjunction with the Assistant Chief Engineer & Chief Engineer
- Organise employment rosters according to established hotel guidelines.
- Maintain safe environmental practices.
- Give assistance to other departments or outlets when required.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Perform any other duties as directed by the Director of Food & Beverage and Venue Manager.
