We are looking for an experienced Food Production Operator to join our production team on a casual basis, that would love to produce products that not only taste delicious but are also really healthy and generate positive impacts to people, communities and the planet! Opportunities for Full-time work may be available in the future.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure efficient operation of processing equipment to conform with internal benchmarks and quality standards
- Ensure production levels are achieved on a daily and ongoing basis
- Ensure that quality, food safety and good hygiene are maintained to the highest standards
- Ensure safe working conditions are maintained in accordance with internal standards and appropriate regulations.
- Ensure compliance to company's policies and procedures
- Effective communication with production, dispatch, quality and admin staff
- Consistently & accurately complete daily production reports and associate paperwork when required.
- Ensure production, dry storage and cool rooms are cleaned and tidied on a daily basis
- Collection and organisation of production samples
- Load and unload trucks
- Assist colleagues on other tasks as and when required.
- Assist with diagnosing and repairing equipment breakdowns
Skills and experience
Must have/be:
- forklift License (or willing to get a licence)
- ability to learn & apply new information quickly and accurately
- organised, careful, clean & tidy
- Able to lift/carry equipment and product safely (up to 20kgs)
- technically minded – work with machinery and technology safely and according to workplace standards
- enthusiastic with a positive 'can do' attitude
- good communication skills
- an all-round wonderful person
- Ability to work unsupervised, alone and in a team
Ideally you will have/be:
- experience working in a Food Production environment
- HACCP/GMP knowledge
