The Opportunity:
A vacancy currently exists for a for a Food Safety and Quality Assessor on our afternoon shift at our Eagle Farm Site in Queensland.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Verify online that product is compliant with customer specifications, Food Safety requirements and regulatory bodies
- Conduct Internal & GMP audits
- Identify quality and Food Safety issues online and action and escalate
- Assess, investigate and implement corrective and preventive actions for complaints &/or non-conforming products
- Organise daily micro samples.
- Pre-operational checks to clear equipment and area prior to production
- Coordination of in-process and finished product samples for analytical analysis
- Calibration of quality critical equipment as per schedules
- Identify and partake in process improvement initiatives
- Participate in relevant project work as required
- Ensure that all personnel completing CCP checks are signed off as competent
Experience in the following areas are highly desirable:
- A degree or diploma in Food Science or related discipline or relevant industry experience
- Have strong attention to detail
- Excellent word processing, filing and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skills – in particular the Microsoft Office Suite
- Capable analytical skills
- Excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Understanding of HACCP (certification)
- Internal audit experience
- Documentation maintenance of a quality assurance system manual
This role will require shift work including some weekends.
