The WDHS Food Services team provides food and beverages for our aged care residents and acute patients. The team also provides support for the provision of food and beverages for visitors and staff in our Green Bean Café, vending and catering services. Our hospitality team strives for excellence ensuring WDHS produces quality and nutritious food for our residents & patients and provides healthy, quality food to our staff and visitors.
You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, basic cooking, food, vegetable and sandwich preparation, meal service and meal presentation, general cleaning, kitchen hand duties, and meal delivery and collection. The Food and Domestic Services Assistant reports directly to our Coleraine Facility Supervisor of Support Services.
The WDHS food service team is recognised as a health industry leader, producing innovative, quality, healthy and well-balanced meals.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing, excellent customer service, basic food preparation and cooking, general cleaning, kitchen hand duties and maintaining high food safety standards.
This position also includes working in clinical and non-clinical areas of the Coleraine Campus and prospective applicants must be flexible in their availability to work shifts across seven days a week and should appreciate that this is a physically demanding position.
The successful candidate must have or obtain a National Criminal Police Check. Depending on the role, a Working with Children Check Clearance, Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme check, and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check may also be required. All employees must comply with WDHS vaccination requirements, including COVID and Booster shots. WDHS is a smoke-free workplace.
