About the role:
This is a Melbourne metro-based position which may include regional overnight trips. Reporting directly to the Business Manager. This role performs within a defined Melbourne bayside and inner city territory and has full accountability for net sales and debtors. Whilst the territory has an established customer base with long term relationships, this role will suit someone that has a hunger to source new business and build those relationships.
The TopGun for this position will excel at creating and closing new opportunities. By using a consultative approach to selling, this person will have their expertise to identify and qualify leads, leading to sales opportunities with both new and existing customers.
Your role will be to sell a mix of Award-Winning Australian Smallgoods to Independent Retailers and the HORECA segment - Hotel/Restaurant/Catering. The successful applicant will effectively manage and maintain an existing customer base whilst focusing on new business as a priority. Promote, and sell our products to maximize brand exposure, sales volumes, and profits within the allocated territory. To assist you in this amazing role, the company will provide the following; a Company vehicle, CRM device and a mobile phone will be provided for the right person.
About you:
At least 3 years experience selling into Independent Retail Supermarkets and HORECA segment. Strong network of contacts. Highly organised with excellent time management skills. You communicate effectively and establish collaborative relationships. As an excellent problem-solver, you will resolve customer issues as they arise. You have an ability to work well in a team as well as independently. You are used to working in a fast-paced environment and ideally are resulted oriented, hungry for success and understand the importance of delivering quality customer service.
Key skills and attributes:
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- A genuine passion for customer service and developing the business
- Passionate to work as part of a team to achieve individual and team goals
- Sales experience an advantage but not essential
- Food experience highly advantageous e.g. smallgoods, cheese, grocery
- Retail or customer service experience an advantage
- Experience working towards targets and KPIs.
