The Construction & Maintenance Central (CMC) Team undertake capital and operational works to maintain and improve safety, serviceability and efficiency of the region’s road network and integrated transport system.

About the position:
The Foreman position will be responsible for leading and supervising Council teams in the planning of Council related civil construction and maintenance activities.
Exercise responsibility for work groups including the completion of work assignments, standard of work quality and compliance with regulations, codes and specifications. This includes leading a team responsible for the on-going maintenance of region wide line marking and all signage replacement in the central area.
- This is a permanent full-time position based at the Charlton Depot.
- The annual salary range for this position is $77,223.52 - $82,594.58 gross per annum, plus variable allowances, 17.5% annual leave loading and up to 12.65% superannuation.
- Work a 9-day fortnight with a Rostered Day Off.
- Hours of work may vary due to supervision of the linemarking team which operate from 3am until 12pm.

How to be successful in this position:
Qualification(s), training and/or experience, specific to the role:
- WHS Competency (White Card) for CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, or equivalent, or a willingness to obtain prior to commencement.
- Current ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence.
- Certificate III and IV in Civil Construction is desirable but not mandatory.
- A combination of experience, qualifications and competence in the civil construction and maintenance field which enables the applicant to perform the duties of the position.
