This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, Fixed Term Part Time and Casual appointments, with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Position Profile: We are seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our Ambulatory Administration team at Perth Children's Hospital.

As an Administrative Officer - Medical, you will provide a high level, comprehensive and confidential administrative and secretarial service to the Head of Service and other officers and clinicians within the relevant Department, centre or service. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Screening, receiving, and processing incoming correspondence,via phone and in person, and directing these queries to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintaining and arranging the continuity and processing of patient appointment schedules.
  • Providing secretarial support for departmental meetings including preparation, distribution, transcribing and typing of agenda, minutes and supporting documentation.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining efficient and effective record and information systems ensuring appropriate records are kept.

CAHS is made up four service areas: Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and Perth Children’s Hospital (PCH). Consisting of over 5,500 employees, our services are delivered at PCH and King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH), as well as across a network of more than 160 community clinics across the metropolitan area.
