We are seeking multiple positions to join our client – State Queensland Government as Forensic Officers. This role involves providing essential support to clients with offending behaviors and intellectual disabilities.The successful candidates will play a crucial role in delivering lifestyle and skills support, facilitating clinical interventions, and contributing to the overall well-being and community reintegration of our clients.The role will be based in Wacol. The contract is for 3 months with the possibility of extension.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate support plans to assist clients in developing and maintaining life skills, promoting positive behaviors, and improving quality of life.
- Monitor and observe clients at risk to self and others, providing relevant information to the clinical team.
- Support clients in achieving goals outlined in their Individual Development Plan (IDP) to promote community reintegration.
- Implement treatment and habilitation programs to address specific offending behaviors.
- Support clients in developing personal routines and lifestyles tailored to their individual needs, abilities, and preferences.
- Contribute to the development, implementation, and review of client assessments, individualized plans, and transition plans.
- Prepare reports, maintain documentation, and undertake administrative tasks and data collection.
- Ensure the safety and security of clients, staff, and visitors, including managing challenging and aggressive behavior.
- Certificate IV in Communities or approved equivalent, or ability to undertake within a prescribed timeframe.
- Possession of a 'C' class driver's license.
- Possession of a current 'Provide First Aid' certificate or ability to obtain one prior to commencement of employment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

- Performing continuous shift work across 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on rostered shifts (minimum 8hr shifts maximum 12 hr), which can involve a combination of morning, afternoon and active night shifts including weekends.
