Position Description: Warehouse Operative with Forklift Licence Responsibilities:
Efficiently and safely operate a forklift to move, load, and unload electric appliances and lighting products.
Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments of products, ensuring they match order specifications and quality standards.
Organise and maintain inventory within the warehouse, including proper storage, labelling, and rotation of stock.
Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and staging products according to customer requirements and delivery schedules.
Collaborate with the logistics team to coordinate outgoing shipments and ensure timely delivery to customers.
Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies to maintain accurate stock levels.
Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment.
Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including cleaning, organising, and restocking inventory.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to address any issues or concerns regarding warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
Valid Forklift Operator licence and demonstrated proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
Previous experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment, preferably in the electrical appliance or lighting industry.
The ability to lift and carry heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as inventory management and order fulfilment.
